Vehicle Description In the middle of the golden era of the Chevrolet Impala, 1964 brought several changes to the already evocative Chevrolet sedan.
With changes such as a more indented front grill, a new paint matching taillight surround, the new Impala had fewer sharp edges but was still easily identifiable.
Built off a firm foundation of iconic body styling, the 1964 model continued to display a wider appearing stance, demonstrated emphasis on roominess, and flaunted unparalleled visual appeal.
Chevrolet even made certain to make it effortless to identify by its distinctive side trim, setting it apart from its Biscayne and Bel Air cousins.
Little did the designers know that this 1964 version of their wildly popular nameplate would go down in American Automotive History as one of the most sought-after cars of all time.
In 1964, 1,190,821 rolled of the Chevrolet manufacturing line and of those 889,600 were Impalas, showing just how admired the car was.
This is your chance to own a piece of that Americana.
This is the 1964 Chevrolet Impala 2-door sedan cloaked in all the brilliance that brought fame to the brand.
This car is in very nice condition, and would revel in the chance to have a few minor enhancements, returning it to its showroom exaltation.
The exterior is swathed in an agreeable Emerald Green, but if desired, could use some love in the paint department.
While the body is solid and the paint is presentable, it is beginning to show age and has a few trivial flaws and cracks.
It was planned to receive a paint restoration but our garage bays are filling up with cars needing such work, so we have decided to offer a few cars at a smaller price point that could stand some tenderness and affection.
Furthermore, the outside has nice chrome accents, polished US Mag Wheels, G70-14 Redline bias tires, and new chrome antennas.
Inside the interior is finished with a beautiful and well-maintained two-toned vinyl.
The seats are an off white trimmed in a coordinating emerald green.
The car is powered by a 350-crate motor with a non-actual odometer reading of 29,810 miles and mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.
This car has received some recent elevations by way of a new battery and cables, fuel pump, ignition switch, hood hinges, and wiper switch.
This car runs and drive well, and would make an excellent driver as is, and with a little sweat could be an exceptional example of the extravagant 1964 Impala.
Iconic in American History, revered in American hearts, and built with American style and ingenuity, the Chevy Impala will live on for generations to come.
This is your chance to have it live on in your garage.
